Michelle Laxamana has an Early Childhood Education Diploma in the Montessori Philosophy. She holds a Bachelor of Religious Education, a Bachelor of Arts in Human Services, and a Master of Divinity in Clinical Counselling. She is certified in ENRICH couples therapy, level one Focusing, and is a member of CAMFT and CRPO.
Michelle has extensive experience working with adolescents, children and families in Toronto, the GTA, and internationally. Her professional background for more than 25 years combined spans from being a teacher; a director and facilitator of programs; and a counsellor with couples, families, and individuals from pre-teens to seniors.
Michelle has the gift of listening and maintains a supportive, non-judgmental stance, fostering connection and open communication. Compassion, insight, and kindness is an integral part of her character.
Areas of counselling experience include family relationships, parenting, teen pregnancy, marital issues, depression and anxiety, life transitions, trauma, violence and abuse, grief and loss, self-esteem, self-harm, identity issues, sexuality issues, addictions, life-skills and more.

Over the past 20 plus years, Jamie Sutherland has walked along side many families, youth and children, individuals and couples from diverse walks of life. He has engaged individuals from a range of different cultures, socio economic backgrounds, diverse walks of faith, mental health concerns and learning challenges throughout Toronto, the GTA, and internationally.
Jamie enjoys working with individuals around issues of power and control in relationships to help gain better understanding of their preferred self. More recently, he has been engaged with men helping them to understand the impacts of abuse on the self and in their personal relationships. Moreover, collaboratively co-creating and exploring the meaning of different challenges life, has been a passion to help others better enjoy their quality of living.
Experience of counselling modalities include narrative, solution focus, cognitive behaviour, focusing, family systems -Bowen and strategic, Enrich couples, and integration.
Michelle and Jamie as a Team have worked together in the GTA and internationally with organizations and churches providing psycho-education to help with trauma, conflict, and transitions for adolescents and parents. They have facilitated workshops and presentations to help couples and families with communication, conflict, and interpersonal relationships.
Each bring distinctive experiences, skills, training, and perspectives to the session. And their Heart is to Hold those in need who are going through life’s difficulties, offering compassion, help, and hope.
