Couples therapy focuses on issues in your relationships – or lack of them – past or present. You may want to explore an aspect of your relationship or move the relationship to a more comfortable place, whether you are experiencing moments of growth, challenges or if your relationship is in a crisis. COUPLES SEEK COUNSELLING FOR A WIDE RANGE OF RELATIONSHIP ISSUES, THESE MAY INCLUDE:
Intimacy or lack of (physical, sexual and emotional connection), issues with sexual performance and desire, lack of communication in the relationship (including high conflict or conflict avoidant relationships), relationship loss and break-up (separation/divorce), being single, dating, affairs and infidelity in relationships, mental health concerns, domestic abuse in relationships, the impact of past abuse and trauma on relationships, exploration of unhealthy relationship themes (repetitions and patterns), distance, difference or enmeshment in relationships, shame and vulnerability in relationships, relationship diversity e.g. same sex, polygamous etc., and pre-marital counsel.
